Champagne Wishes!

I decided to do Luna Jubilee's 52 weeks of color though I have every expectation I will fall behind at some point since so far my experience is that this is harder than it looks! I'm undaunted though and carrying on. The first week's color is Champagne and I had a devil of a time deciding on an outfit. I wore two or three around trying to settle on something until I found this gorgeous dress from Purple Moon.

This dress is just tres chic to me and made me think of 60's style. The mod look done glamorous in faux snakeskin.

The dress is so fab I really didn't want to do too much with accessories because I didn't want to detract. I'm wearing a hair from Damselfly. It's called  Harborlynn and I'm wearing the Beach Beige color - blend. The headband and flower is tintable so I tinted it to match the dress or at least be in the same shade family.

My shoes are from Similar, they are the Annabell heels which I wear almost constantly, such a great pair of dress up pumps. Color change of course to champagne.

I'm wearing earrings and bracelets from Ear Candy, the 60l weekend set in gold. The set is called UnTamed and I thought it just added a tiny bit more pop.

I also splurged on the Chloe skin from Belleza and that's what I'm wearing here. Makeup #2 with just a bit of doe shimmer shadow in gold from Pixel dolls, Simpatico liner from Mock Cosmetics and Mizu gloss from Mock Cosmetics.

I took these shots a few days ago so I don't remember but I think these poses are by Magnifique and Status.

Lonely, Lonely Lonely...

So I'll put a cut on it so if you don't want to read it, you don't gotta.

Here, look at me in my undies since you're here and all. Unedited photo because I had some issues with details being bleh in the snapshot so I ended up trashing the post *pout*. The skin is Filthy's Nathalie in Tan, Hair is from Iconic, blondes, (sorry I don't remember the name of the hairstyle) Jewelry is from Je Suis and undies are from Carrie's Lingerie.

Mah Kitties!

*Insert obligatory joke about pussy control, ahem* Moving On!

So, somehow or other, I ended up with 3 KittyCats. I bought one at Collabor88 when they had them and I bought one for myself for Christmas and I got one from the KittyCats advent thingie. So, today, I decided to have them get born!

They all ended up being girls and since I wasn't planning on breeding them (who can afford it!) that was fine with me. So let me introduce you to my girls.

This is Miss Blueberry Rose. You can tell she's a model at heart with her pretty blue and white bib and her big blue eyes.

This is Miss Krystalle Rose, she's obviously made of the best Ice :D

Last but not least is Miss PinkyBean Rose. Despite her pretty pink eyes and stars, she's the tomboy of the family.

Casual Bunneh!

This didn't start out to be a bunny outfit, it just sort of turned out that way. I started with this absolutely adorable top from LINE. I just frickin' love it and I plan to go back and get some more colors. It was easy to fit and just so darned cute. ( I did make my butt smaller to fit it since nobody was gonna be able to really see my butt anyway under the long shirt.)

I originally was going to wear a skirt under it but then I realized that most skirts were either gonna look too long or else too short. But *fortunately* I had just bought these cutiepie lace leggings from G. Field at their red and white sale. I was so happy because the leggings go perfectly with the top in a way I wouldn't have anticipated until I put them on together. I love the little ruffle and ribbon details on the cuffs of the leggings too.

I knew immediately that I wanted to wear this jewelry set with the outfit. A few days ago while on my casual jewelry hunt, I ended up at this lovely little shop called Love Always. The shop specializes in jewelry for children but everything comes with resizers so with a couple of clicks it fit me fine. The little ribbons are color change also so you can get just the right color to match your outfit. Precious! It's called the Giddy (Hearts) set.

The hair I'm wearing is the subscribomatic gift in all colors from Catwa hair. Catwa has become one of my favorite stores for hair because they make styles that are different and also because they still make flexi hair. \o/. My first avatar was born when flexi hair was brand new on the grid. I remember when hair stuck out behind you like some crazy shaped wing or train. It was, to quote one of my all time favorite girl movies, "a (brown) football helmet" for hair. And, oftentimes, sculpted hair reminds me of the old days instead of new days, because it too often looks a lot like you're wearing a nicely shaped and textured football helmet, or perhaps your hair has been sprayed into fear of its life if it moves LOL. I don't know! But it is not attractive to me! So anyway, I love this hair and as of last night it was still in the som and you should go grab it. And no, it doesn't have the giant bow headband! It's called Carolena and I am wearing it in the Creamy Toffee shade.

I am wearing the Ebba skin from Laqroki with this outfit, in Peach and I bought a new shape from Pekka called Brenda which I then modded. I love the face shape though and I didn't touch that at all, And I also love the fey look to the eyes though I widened them somewhat over where they were set. I really like Pekka's shapes, even though I'm too much of a fiddler not to mod them to suit myself. I'm sorry! No offense to your art, I swear!

I have to admit too that as much as I love Mock Cosmetics, I went astray because I was looking for a particular look in eye makeup and couldn't find it. I managed to put my foot in my mouth all the way up to my knee while doing it because I complained to a friend " who wears eyeshadow all around the eye like a raccoon!" and she promptly told me, "I do!". Well silly me. *facepalms* LOL. Fortunately she's a sweetie and didn't kill me on the spot.

At any rate I found what I was looking for on marketplace from (Ag) cosmetics which I then went to the Kozmetika store to buy. Such a great idea, lots of make up in one place! I ended up buying all the eyeshadows that (Ag) had. I then added the clear juicy gloss from the Elly Skin (Pink Fuel) skins because I felt like the eyes were the thing and I didn't want the lip color to fight with it. I also added a layer of mascara and liner from Boom, the Love My Eyes set in Thick. This  (Ag) eyeshadow is in the Tropical Shadows set and is called Sun Conure. The whole set is super cheap.

Shoes at least were an easy choice because Nardcotix is having their fabulous 70 percent off sale which made these Anessa style shoes in Teal less than 200L. Be still my heart!

Now for that hair bow. The Mock Cosmetics chat is a wonderful chat. We talk about all kinds of stuff in there, where to find things, not only at the Mock store but in other places so naturally I asked, hey where can I get a hairband that has a bow on it? I got an answer, a few of them in fact, and one of them was Toki Doki. I liked the sound of the name so off I went. It's called the Side Headband.

ZOMG! What a cute store! And what cute stuff! The headbands are to the right of the entrance and they are available from the gacha machines or you can buy singles or you can buy a whole pack. I pounced on this giant one as the perfect thing to go with the rest of the ensemble. I did tint it a little bit to make it a bit more matchy matchy with the rest of the outfit, but it's mod so that's easy to do.

I wanted some  new nails to go with this, though I love my Mandala long nails as the go to set. I just wanted something different so I was pointed to Candy Nail. This is the Air Nail set in Blue. It's not a perfection match but it's very close and I liked it with the rest of the look.

So Bummed Out Right Now :/

I hope you all had a good New Years, none the less.

Here's what's got me upset. I downloaded the new update for Exodus and everything was pretty good, but I go to take pictures and I get these lines, really faint but there across the picture in squares and I'm also having trouble getting good details on things like jewelry.

So do not want. But I don't really think it's the viewer, except maybe the lines thing. I think it's something i'm setting wrong but I don't know what it is. Sigh.

I have to go out and do some shopping and stuff like that. Don't want to do that either. At any rate, here's one picture I was semi happy with and the credits.

This outfit comes in separates so you can wear both pieces with other things. Both are from Fishy Strawberry and I just love the comfy look and great color. The skirt is called the Aragon Skirt and the top is called Lace Details top. I think I tried to buy out the shop there when I went!

This skin is new to me, called Emma from Lara Hurley skins and it's in the Tan Natural. (I also bought the same skin in the pale because i liked it so much)  I have one complaint about Lara Hurley skins and that is that she does not give you a cleavage skin but rather a cleavage layer. Cleavage layers are okay but they do take up space you could be using for lipstick or hair base or something.

I've been reading a lot of blogs recently and I found out about Dura Hair from one of them, naturally I had to see for myself. This is a cute and simple updo called Dura Girl 22 in blonde.

I went on a "Casual" Jewelry hunt the last few days and ended up, among other places, at Je Suis and I just fell in love with several pieces from there. This is the Aimee Necklace and Earrings. They are totally texture change on the color of the hearts, color of the metal, color of the cords, really a lot of bang for the Lindens.

And finally, I took advantage of the vip half price sale at Purrfect 10 and got several items, these are the Persephone boots in white.

Shades of Retro but Pretty!

This look pretty much started with this super cute outfit from Apple May Designs. This outfit is called Pucker Up and you really have to see it in world to truly appreciate it. The skirt is just wow, layering the jacket over the pants perfectly to get this high waist look and the texture on the skirt prims is also just perfect. I thought it had a retro flavor so I went with that with the rest of the look.

I confess, that I don't like avatar feet and I usually wear shoes or bare feet that are prim feet but these Coquette heels from N-Core won me over. These are the black glitter version and while I was roaming around Atomic Island for the sales that are going on there, I stopped by Riddle and found these adorable ruffle socks. Somehow the shoes with the socks and the skirt and whatnot, it just all seemed to go together for me.

Since the outfit has a sweater and then the cute puffed sleeves, it all reminded me of a retro influenced old fashioned sock hop. I wanted to go with that same feel with my hair. This is a new release from D!va hair that I just love. Marina has also made new hair colors, this is called Moon stone and I just love both the new color and the style itself which is called Rena.

Accesories had me a little stumped and I roamed around the grid trying various things until I ended up at Dark Mouse. I ended up out at the little sale at the back of the shop and pounced on this gorgeous set for just 50L. It's called Vintage Troll in Silver but she also had gold and copper available for those of you who like variety.

So that's all there is to it. Here's a close up of the shoes and those cutiepie socks. I liked the socks so much I bought all three color packs!

I also want to give a shout out. I followed a tutorial I found on youtube to get a better removal of the background for my pics and it was really helpful. Here is the link for the first part but there are four parts altogether where she talks about other things to do to make your pics look better. Very cool stuff. Here's the link to her youtube channel. - Click!

Santa Baby

So first post, it's almost Christmas and everyone in Second Life seems to be wearing flashing lights, red and green and antlers on their heads. I figured I'd get into the fun. I got the tip for this outfit from StrawberrySingh.com - It's a cutie pie outfit from Bare Rose, costs all of 170L or thereabouts and comes with three colors - red, green and pink. I snapped it up asap.

The boots are from Bax, of course, the special holiday prestige boot set. 395 for three colors and the perfect fit as usual. And yes, they are "boots with the fur." LOL

picture is viewable bigger by clicking or go to my flickr page
The skin is the brand new one from Al Vulo, I am so in love with Hlin's skins, and this one has some nice options I haven't seen from Al Vulo previously. You get both blonde or dark brown versions in this, with or without hair base, plus a choice of several lovely lipstick tats and some really new and interesting makeups. I'm wearing Sakia, Smokey, blonde brows, no hairbase, of course cleavage though it's not really showing in this pic. It's only available in Bronze at the moment, I generally prefer a lighter skin tone but the skin was too pretty and had too many great options not to go with it.

The hair is Carrie from Action hair and is one of the best hairs I think Action has released in a while. I'm not a big fan of the helmet head thing that seems to happen a lot with hair that's primarily sculpty and though Action uses a head lock to keep from messing up your hair, the head lock reminds me of wearing a neck brace. Not a good memory! I'm wearing Carrie in Dirty Blonde

My main shape is Nelly from Salt and Pepper though I've modded her a bit. I really like the shapes from Salt and Pepper however, and am contemplating buying a few more!

Nails - these are the mandala super long nails set to red.

I'm kinda bummed, I'm using Firestorm and for some reason I'm seeing a lot of tiny prim fade out from a distance. This necklace set from Purple Moon is so cute, silver reindeer with ruby accents. But in my pics you can't see the accents because of this fade out problem. So annoying. (This set is only available at Tropicalia Bazaar at the moment)

All the poses here are by Purple Poses. I had a few problems in some cases with my poses wanting to stretch textures in a funny way, but for the most part I really liked them and you can't beat 90l for a pack of 10 poses with a stick.

Makeup layers - I'm wearing the cherry lipstick that came with the Sakia skin, but I also added the venetian red mizu gloss layer from Mock cosmetics - I cannot live with out my mizu glosses, and I added the liquid glaze black liner from Boom as well for a little more definition.

The background on my pic is from Vector Jungle.com, a royalty free vector site.
